The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene hired Interboro to design a space using ad-bloc at Boogie on the Boulevard for ThriveNYC to help bring awareness and destigmatize mental illness.

ad-blocs are plastic building blocks that are durable, easy to install, easy to maintain, and linkable. ad-blocs can be arranged in a variety of configurations: they can be placed side by side, perpendicularly, or be stacked, to create a wide range of seating areas. A stool, which doubles as a cooler, works as an interlocking peg to hold the blocs together. Cylindrical voids in the blocks can be used to play a variety of games.

Combining two standardized components allows for many different possible parklet configurations
